Chicago Illinois: Top 100 Cars To Lower The Costs Of Car Ins.

Chicagoans looking for an Chicago auto insurance plan know that if you live in ZIP 60656 your insurer’s rate will be different than if you lived in 60619. Intriguingly enough, what most Chicagoans don’t know, is that the type of car you drive down South Michigan Avenue also greatly determines how much bucks you’ll pay for Chicago Chicago vehicle insurance.

Well Let’s Get Started………….

Chicago’s Liability Coverage (Lowest-Priced Vehicles)

Chicago Liability Insurance - The price of super Chicago IL auto insurance (Liability) is greatly affected by the specific brand/model of car you choose to drive in Lakeview, or anywhere else.

Chicagoans……. here it is. This super table below shows the cheapest brands/models (2005 GMC Canyon, GMC, etc.) of vehicles to insure for Liability assurance coverage.

One of Chicago’s insurers that we talked to, Charlene from USAA, stated that the reasons for the varying price in such models is that the different vehicle brands/models have different accident claims histories associated with them (some super, some not-so-super).

Another local Chicago agent, John from GEICO, put it simply by stating: “The more accidents a vehicle brand-model type is in [reported claims] the more accident-prone it is considered, and therefore the higher the insurer’s rate.”

An Interesting Fact: The younger (newer) a car model type is the lower its insurance rates will be.

Intriguingly enough, the newer a vehicle model is, the lower its insurance rates will be with Chicagoan insurers, because the newer models do not have a history of claims against them (not yet at least), but Charlene from USAA advised that, in time (about 2-3 years), this newer model’s claims history could eventually mount, and its insurance rates would rise to follow its claims history (Reps from Metlife (Metropolitan) also verified this tidbit of information for us).

No Way!…………. confused yet young Chicagoan???? Okay…… to say it a different way: if GMC releases a brand new model of car (not a new year’s model, but an actual different type of model); because this brand-new model name does not yet have a history of car accident claims (not yet at least) against it, an automobile insurer - like Metlife (Metropolitan) - haven’t yet assessed it as being more accident-prone - therefore its coverage rates remain low for Chicago Illinois auto insurance.

Chicago’s Comprehensive Coverage - Cheapest Vehicles

An Interesting Fact: The more often a car gets stolen, statistically (Most Stolen List), the higher the comprehensive coverage rate will be for it (Chicago IL automobile insurance) (Example: 2005 GMC Canyon versus another GMC model).

So a super practice is to avoid models that are on the ‘Most Stolen List’ to keep your Comprehensive coverage rates low, therefore saving bucks.

Call your local DMV (Phone # (312) 793-2111 - 310 S Michigan Ave #1608) or local AAA (Phone # (312) 372-1824 - 307 N Michigan Ave) if you want to get this list of Most Stolen Cars.

Chicago’s Collision Coverage - Cheapest Vehicles

An Interesting Fact: Intriguingly enough, of all the vehicle groups on the road, vans & mini-vans consistently receive the lowest rates from insurers for Chicago liability, comprehensive, and collision coverage (Chicagoans rejoice!).

An Interesting Fact:: The more rare your automobile is in Chicago (or anywhere in the US for that matter), the fewer accident claims it will have against it, and therefore the more bucks saved.

Chicagoans have a median household income of $41,015, and therefore most of Chicago’s drivers are looking for super ways to save bucks on auto insurance plans. When searching for Auto Insurance in Chicago Illinois IL, the best advice is to choose your Car Model wisely (GMC, 2005 GMC Canyon, etc.)
